Here’s what did that day! The day started with worship planned by the Glen Carlsen’s on the new patio in the back, away from the wind. John shared the message, it was called “Gratitude, Grace, Grandma, Generations, Generosity.”
Ruth played the keyboard with a music stand made out of a waffle iron and a picture frame.
After the message, people shared fun stories of the and Ruth shared that she submitted a story to the Star Tribune about the history of Carmonel (coming soon to this site!). Dave shared a Gratitude prayer, called “We are fish in the water, and we swim in the stories of our life.”
The rest of the day we ate great food, shared stories, and played a game called Nine Squares, which was surprisingly well received and enjoyed by all ages.
Then we launched this site and shared slides from the 50th Anniversary (these are also coming to the site soon!).
I’m always amazed at how multiple generations can share and grow together. Elliot did find a snake skin and was continuously fascinated by it and reminded everyone that snakes are poisonous (not all are, btw).
Looking forward to seeing everyone in another five years, work on your next good stories at the cabin.
Thanks Grandma Agnus for making the cabin a possibility.
