The ownership of our beloved Carmonel is hitting 65 years in 2026! We are excited to provide initial information for the 65th anniversary from July 10-12.

The theme is “Carmonel: Past, Present and Future.”

Agenda. We will start with a campfire on the evening of July 10 at dusk and conclude with an informal coffee gathering on July 12 on the deck or patio. The bigger events will happen on Saturday, July 11. This will include an opening/gathering at around 10:30 AM at Carmonel followed by pictures and lunch. Then an afternoon of fun at the lake and a dinner at Voyager Village’s Kilkare Lodge around 5:30 PM. We hope you will join us for some or all of the anniversary celebration.

Cost estimate. We estimate the cost of the weekend to be around $45 per person which would include s’mores, dinner with tip, rent for Kilkare Lodge, and Saturday’s noon meal. Your whole family should RSVP for the weekend with your representative on the reunion committee. Brian Carlsen, Dan Nelsen, Andrew Moen or Mary Carlsen. We will need a final count by July 1.
Lodging. The Moen family will be using the cabin for the weekend. All other families should work out any lodging needs they have by coordinating with the reunion committee representatives.

T-shirts. Look for an email from Dan Nelson about ordering T-shirts and deadlines.

We are looking forward to celebrating the past, present and future of Carmonel cabin this July. We hope as many of you as possible can attend! We will send a more detailed email out closer to the July event. Any questions about the weekend can be directed to committee members at any time.

Blessings to all!

Respectfully sent to you from the 65th anniversary planning committee: Brian Carlsen, Nathan Reid Carlsen, Dan Nelson, Alison Emmart, Mary Carlsen and Andrew Moen
